sociabilidade do livro

The Book Sociability is my final degree project, delving into the role of graphic designers when designing books. The project aims to establish a dialogue among diverse critical traditions, including the History of books and reading, Speculative design, and Design theory. The primary objective of the project was to imagine a design experience that strengthens the connection between formal and technical aspects of graphic production with the social significance of the book as a cultural artifact. Beyond the research’s writings, the project also includes a notebook designed as a starting point to encourage the creation of events, projects, and actions to socialize the book and reading practice. Thus, it seeks to challenge design methodologies by proposing actions that explore keywords such as curatorship, production, object, voice, and memory.
